GIFs are for reactions. For clips people watch with sound, ReelShift cuts every good moment of your stream, vertical and captioned, while you are still live.
Try ReelShift free →Any Twitch or Kick clip saved as an MP4. MOV and WebM work too.
Slide the window to the seconds you want, choose a shape and size, and add a line of text if you like.
You get a looping GIF that plays anywhere GIFs do. The tool shows its size first.
GIF is an old format and gets heavy fast. Chat apps and social sites each cap how big an upload can be, and those caps change, so the tool shows the exact size before you download. If it is too big, three things shrink it, in this order: make it shorter, pick a smaller width, then drop the frame rate. A three second GIF at 320 wide and 15 frames a second is usually a small file.
The tool works from a file on your computer. On Twitch you can download clips of your own channel; the steps are in how to download Twitch clips. Kick has a Download button on clips that saves an MP4; see how to download Kick clips. If it is someone else's stream, only post the GIF where they are fine with it, the same as with any clip.
Your browser reads the clip and builds the GIF on your own computer. Nothing is sent to a server, which is also why it is free. It works best in a recent Chrome or Edge on a computer.
A GIF is the reaction. The clip is what brings new viewers. ReelShift watches your stream on Twitch, Kick, YouTube or TikTok LIVE, picks the moments from what you say, loud moments and kills and wins on screen, and hands you vertical clips with word-synced captions while you are still live. Say "clip that" on stream to save the last 60 seconds yourself. Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial.
