Why streamers look for an Eklipse alternative
Three reasons come up again and again.
- Timing. Eklipse runs detection across the full VOD after the stream ends. Its new Live Clipping on Premium Pro works during the stream, but only on Twitch and only in three games: Warzone, Black Ops 7 and Battlefield 6 (checked 22 October 2026). The clip of your hour-two moment exists after hour six, and the feed has moved on.
- Non-FPS streams. Detection that leans on gameplay events is great for shooters and weaker for Just Chatting, IRL, GTA RP and reaction content, where the signal is the room, not a killfeed.
- No free plan any more. Eklipse went paid only in June 2026: Premium is $24.99 a month, and a free account only previews the clips from one stream. If you are going to pay, pay for the workflow you actually want.
