Short answer: Outplayed is a free PC app that runs on the Overwolf platform. It automatically records your best gameplay moments across more than 5,000 games, shows them in a match timeline, and lets you trim and share. It contains ads, and Outplayed Premium removes them. ReelShift is not an app on your PC. It connects to your live broadcast on Twitch, Kick, YouTube Live or TikTok LIVE and clips the moments people react to, cropped vertical and captioned, minutes after they happen. Outplayed captures gameplay. ReelShift captures your stream.

Worth clearing up, because people search for “Overwolf clipping” and get confused.
Overwolf is not a clipping tool. It is a platform for in game apps and overlays, covering more than 1,500 games with 113 million monthly users and 178,000 creators building on it. Outplayed is one app that lives on it, and it happens to be the clipping one.
So installing Outplayed means installing Overwolf too. Some people are fine with that, some are not.
It is free, and it is genuinely automatic for gameplay. You do not have to press anything: it detects the event and the clip is waiting for you in the match timeline when you are done.
5,000+ games is a lot of coverage, including League, Valorant, Apex, Fortnite, Rainbow 6 and Hearthstone. The in game overlay and second monitor support are nice touches if you want to review between matches.
If you play competitive games and want every ace saved without thinking about it, that is a good deal for nothing.
Outplayed clips when the game says something happened. That covers kills, wins and objectives, and misses everything else.
If you are live, most of what makes a good clip is not a game event. It is a reaction, a story, an argument in chat, a guest saying something stupid. There is no event for that, so there is nothing to trigger on.
ReelShift reads the broadcast rather than the game, so it works the same whether a game is running or not. On IRL, Just Chatting or GTA RP that is the whole difference between some clips and none.
It also finishes the job. Outplayed gives you a raw clip and a quick trim. ReelShift gives you a vertical clip with captions already burned in, ready to post.
Outplayed if you play competitive PC games, you want gameplay highlights saved automatically, and you do not mind installing Overwolf or seeing ads.
ReelShift if you go live, your moments come from talking and chat as much as from the game, and you want the clip ready to post rather than ready to edit.
They do not conflict, so running both is reasonable if you stream games.
Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial: 1 channel and 5 streaming hours to try it on a real stream. Nothing is charged today, and we email you the day before it ends.
