Money: Kick's split vs Twitch's reach
On paper Kick wins easily: 95% of a sub against Twitch's standard 50%. Twitch closes some of the gap with its Plus Program: 100 Plus Points a month for three months in a row gets you 60/40, and 300 points gets you 70/30. Twitch also lowered its Affiliate bar in June 2026 to 25 followers, 4 hours, 4 days and 3 average viewers, and opened Bits and subs to all eligible streamers. You still need Affiliate or Partner to be paid out.
Kick's Partner Program pays per stream based on viewers, but the bar is higher: 75 average viewers, 30 hours, 25 active subs, 250 unique chatters and 3 VODs in 30 days, plus 250 followers and a verified channel.
Audience size
Both companies publish numbers, but they measure different things. Kick said in August 2026 that it has over 100 million active users and passed 1.5 billion hours watched in Q2 2026. Twitch's press page says 105 million+ average monthly visitors and 2.5 million+ people watching at any moment. The two numbers are not directly comparable.
Clips: where Twitch is ahead
Twitch makes a portrait version of each clip automatically and lets viewers post clips straight to YouTube, TikTok and Instagram. Kick clips are longer (up to 3 minutes) but come out wide, and Kick's help pages describe sharing by link or downloading the MP4.
