Kick now calls its first money step Affiliate, but its own help center has not caught up. Here is what Kick actually documents, and where its pages disagree.

Short answer: Kick Affiliate is the first money step on Kick. It unlocks the Enable Subscriptions button, so viewers can subscribe for $5 a month and you keep $4.75 of each sub. Every version of Kick's help article asks for 5 total hours of streaming, added up across streams. The Spanish, Portuguese, Turkish and Arabic versions also ask for 75 followers, and the English one does not, so plan for both. Kick publishes no hourly or per stream pay for Affiliates. Pay per stream belongs to the Partner Program, two steps higher, after verification.
| What Kick asks for | What it adds | |
|---|---|---|
| Affiliate | 5 total hours streamed, added up across streams. Also 75 followers in the Spanish, Portuguese, Turkish and Arabic help pages | Paid and gifted subs, sub badges, up to 24 subscriber emotes, 24/7 live chat support |
| Verified | Affiliate, then in the last 30 days: 15 hours, 50 average viewers, 100 unique chatters, 10 active subs. Plus phone, 2FA and other checks | Weekly payouts if you want them, VODs kept 30 days instead of 7, VOD pinning, the right to apply for Partner |
| Partner | Verified, then in the last 30 days: 30 hours, 75 average viewers, 250 unique chatters, 25 active subs, 3 VODs, plus 250 followers. Apply by email | Pay every stream based on how many viewers show up. Kick publishes no rate |
From Kick's help center and the FAQ on streamer.kick.com/partner, checked 16 October 2026. Kick says the Partner metrics are still subject to change, and its pages do not all agree, as explained below.
Kick's guide to becoming an Affiliate exists in several languages, and they do not say the same thing. Checked on 16 October 2026:
So the 5 hours is certain, and the 75 followers appears in four of the six versions. Kick has not said which one is current. No version asks for a minimum number of viewers or chatters.
The answer for your own channel is the Achievements page in your Creator Dashboard, which shows what you still need before you qualify.
Getting paid also needs a Stripe account, set up from the Revenue page of your dashboard. Kick says that until Stripe is available in your country, you cannot set up subscriptions at all. The setup steps are in how to make money on Kick.
Kick renamed this step without updating every page, which is why guides contradict each other.
The quick test: if the bar is 5 hours, it is Affiliate. If it needs 75 average viewers and an email application, it is the real Partner Program.
One more mix up to avoid. The "Kick affiliate program" has nothing to do with affiliate links. Kick's community guidelines deal with those separately and say creators must clearly disclose them.
Kick's help pages tie these to Affiliate status:
What Affiliate does not add: pay per stream, money from ads (Kick says ads do not currently pay creators directly), weekly payouts, 30 day VOD storage and VOD pinning. Those come with verification or Partner.
An Affiliate earns from what viewers pay. The other 5% goes as a processing fee:
Hourly pay: Kick publishes none for Affiliates, and no Kick page says Affiliates are paid per hour or per stream at all. Per stream pay is the Partner Program, which Kick says is calculated "in real time for every organic view you receive on your live KICK streams". Even there it publishes no rate. Any Affiliate hourly figure you see online did not come from Kick. The full breakdown is in how much does Kick pay.
Payouts: everything goes through Stripe. A channel that is not verified is paid monthly only, and verified channels can choose weekly. Kick's terms of service (dated 23 March 2026) add a rule the help center leaves out: a payment is only made in a month when you are owed at least $10, and smaller amounts roll over to the next month. The help center only mentions country minimums. Timings are in when does Kick pay.
It is not two steps but three. Between Affiliate and Partner sits verification, the check mark on a channel, and Kick says you must be an Affiliate to get it. The FAQ on Kick's Partner page lists, all in the last 30 days:
Partner then needs a verified channel and, in the last 30 days, 30 hours, 75 average viewers, 250 unique chatters, 25 active subs and 3 VODs, plus 250 followers. After that comes an email application, and Kick says meeting the numbers does not guarantee a place. The full picture, Fast Track included, is in our Kick Partner Program guide.
Two warnings. Kick's 1080p help page names 75 average viewers as the milestone on the way to verification, not 50, so even this bar is inconsistent. And its rules say that paying for your own subs, or joining groups that inflate stats, can cost you verification or Partner.
Clipping on Kick does not depend on Affiliate. Kick says clips "can be created by any logged-in Viewer watching your stream or by the Streamer themselves", from 10 to 180 seconds, from a live stream or a VOD. The only switch is yours: a streamer can turn clipping off for the channel. Step by step in how to clip on Kick.
Clips can also earn: Kick describes Bounties as short form video opportunities where Kick or brands pay streamers for clips, with the reward set in each Bounty.
Affiliate is a matter of showing up. Everything after it, verification at 50 average viewers and Partner at 75, is about audience, and most new viewers find a Kick channel through short clips on TikTok, Reels and Shorts.
ReelShift clips your Kick stream while you are still live. It follows what you say, the stories, jokes and big reactions, reads kills and wins off the screen on game streams, and hands back vertical clips with word synced captions, ready to post. Say "clip that" and it saves the last 60 seconds. The 7 day free trial covers 1 channel and 5 streaming hours: card required, nothing charged today.
Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial: 1 channel and 5 streaming hours to try it on a real stream. Nothing is charged today, and we email you the day before it ends.
Stream at least 5 total hours, added up across streams. The Spanish, Portuguese, Turkish and Arabic versions of Kick's help article also ask for 75 followers, and the English one does not. The Achievements page in your dashboard shows the list for your channel.
Kick publishes no hourly or per stream pay for Affiliates. They earn from subs, $4.75 of each $5 sub, and 95% of KICKs. Pay per stream is for Partners, and Kick publishes no rate for that either.
Affiliate takes 5 hours and unlocks subs. Partner needs a verified channel, then 30 hours, 75 average viewers, 250 unique chatters, 25 active subs and 3 VODs in 30 days, plus 250 followers, and pays per stream on top of subs.
Paid and gifted subs, sub badges, up to 24 subscriber emotes and 24/7 live chat support in your dashboard. It does not add ad money, weekly payouts or VOD pinning.
No. Any logged in viewer can clip a Kick stream or VOD, from 10 to 180 seconds, unless the streamer has turned clipping off.
Kick's terms do not mention account sales by name, but they say you do not own your User Account and cannot transfer your rights under the terms, and that any attempted transfer is void.
