What happened to Powder? powder.gg now redirects to a notice titled "To the Powder community": the company stretched its finances as far as it could and can no longer sustain the app. It is no longer updated or maintained, subscriptions are cancelled so they will not renew, and yearly refunds for unused time are offered where possible. No replacement tool is named. If you have Powder clips you care about, download them now. Then pick a clipper that fits how you stream: ReelShift if you want clips while you are live, Eklipse or StreamLadder if a post-stream VOD workflow is fine.

The shutdown notice does not say how long anything stays online. Download every clip you might want before it disappears. Anything already posted to TikTok, Shorts or Reels is safe where it is.
Then pick a workflow, not just a tool
Powder users were used to clips arriving after the session. You can keep that workflow with Eklipse or StreamLadder, or change it. ReelShift clips the live stream itself, so the moment is on TikTok before the stream ends, and you can say "clip that" on any platform to grab the last 60 seconds. Is Powder really shut down?

Will I be refunded?
