How much is 100 Bits on Twitch?

On the Twitch website in the US, 100 Bits cost the viewer $1.40, and the streamer gets $1 for them: Twitch pays 1 cent for every Bit used to cheer. Bigger packs cost the viewer less per Bit, but the streamer always gets the same cent. Website prices before tax, checked on twitch.tv/bits on 21 October 2026:

BitsViewer pays, websiteStreamer earns
100 Bits$1.40$1
500 Bits$7.00$5
1,000 Bits$14.00 (two 500 packs)$10
5,000 Bits$64.40$50
10,000 Bits$126.00$100

There is no 1,000 Bits pack, so the cheapest way to buy exactly 1,000 is two packs of 500. The calculator above always finds the cheapest mix of packs, or uses the pack you pick.

How much is 100 Bits for a streamer?

$1. Twitch's Partner page says it pays a share of its Bits revenue "equal to 1 cent per Bit used to Cheer", and its help article on Extensions works from the same 1 US cent per Bit for Affiliates and Partners. So 1,000 Bits are $10 and 10,000 Bits are $100, whatever the viewer paid for them. Two cases change the math:

  • Extensions: when a viewer spends Bits inside an Extension on your channel, you get 80% of the cent and the Extension's developer gets 20%. 1,000 Bits there pay $8.
  • Custom Power-ups: Twitch says you get 100% of the Bits viewers spend on them, the same as cheering.

Twitch's Monetized Streamer Agreement adds that your exact fees are the ones shown on your Creator Dashboard, and what you finally receive comes after any tax withholding and payout fees. Where Bits sit next to subs and ads is in how much does Twitch pay.

Twitch Bits cost calculator: every website pack

Twitch sells Bits on its website in six packs. The four bigger ones carry a discount of 5% to 12% against the price of 100 Bits, so the price per 100 Bits drops from $1.40 to $1.23. US prices in dollars, before tax, checked 21 October 2026:

PackPricePer 100 BitsDiscountStreamer earns
100 Bits$1.40$1.40none$1
500 Bits$7.00$1.40none$5
1,500 Bits$19.95$1.335% off$15
5,000 Bits$64.40$1.298% off$50
10,000 Bits$126.00$1.2610% off$100
25,000 Bits$308.00$1.2312% off$250

So of the $1.40 a viewer pays for 100 Bits, $1 goes to the streamer and the rest is Twitch's. Twitch's terms of sale also make the buyer responsible for any sales tax or VAT, so the checkout total can be higher than the pack price.

On a phone it can cost more. Twitch says Bits bought in its mobile apps go through Apple or Google, whose fees can make them pricier, and that you can still pay website prices by opening bits.twitch.tv in a phone's browser. The US App Store listing of the Twitch app shows other pack sizes, such as 95 Bits for $1.99, 1,050 for $19.99 and 2,750 for $49.99, against $1.40 for 100 on the website. One 500 Bits item there is listed at $6.99, about the website price. The streamer gets the same 1 cent a Bit either way.

Outside the US prices differ too. Twitch also prices Bits in other currencies. It says those prices are pegged to the US dollar and that it adjusts them by hand from time to time, so they can drift from a straight conversion. The calculator converts the US price, so treat a local result as a guide to what a viewer abroad pays.

Twitch Bits converter: Bits to USD and back

The streamer side is one step: divide the Bits by 100 to get dollars, or multiply dollars by 100 to get Bits. 2,500 Bits are $25, and $50 takes 5,000 Bits. In an Extension it takes 1,250 Bits to make $10. Switch the calculator to "Money to Bits" to do it in any currency on the list.

Exchange rates in the calculator are from 20 October 2026: European Central Bank reference rates for the euro, pound, Canadian and Australian dollar, real and Mexican peso, and ExchangeRate-API for the Colombian, Argentine and Chilean peso and the Peruvian sol. They change every day. Twitch's Bits revenue is counted in US dollars, and if you choose to be paid in another currency Twitch charges a conversion fee of up to 2.5%.

Twitch Bits payout: who gets the money, and when

Since Twitch's Monetization for All change, rolled out worldwide from 13 May 2026, any streamer who finishes monetization setup can receive Bits. Getting the money out is different: only Affiliates and Partners are paid out. Before that, Twitch lets you spend the balance on Bits, gift subs, subs and Turbo through Spendable Balance, or keep it until you reach Affiliate. Bits in Extensions are for Affiliates and Partners only. The current Affiliate bar is in Twitch Affiliate requirements.

Twitch pays on or around the 15th of each month, for the money earned in the month before, once your balance is over $50 by direct deposit, eCheck or local bank, PayPal or check, or $100 by wire. Below that it rolls over to the next month. In Bits alone, the $50 minimum is about 5,000 Bits. The setup steps, from two factor authentication to the tax interviews, are in how to get paid on Twitch.

Twitch subs and Bits calculator

Bits are usually the smaller part of a Twitch paycheck next to subs. A US Tier 1 sub costs $5.99 and the standard split is 50/50, so one sub is worth about as much to the streamer as 300 Bits. To add subs to the picture, use the Twitch sub calculator.

The number that moves this

ReelShift watches your Twitch stream and cuts vertical, captioned clips of what you say, the loud moments and the kills and wins on screen, while you are still live.
