How it works.
What does ReelShift actually do?
It watches your live stream and cuts your best moments while you are still streaming. Hype spikes, big plays and chat explosions come back as captioned, reframed, ready-to-post clips in seconds. You review, pick the keepers and post while the moment is still hot.
What can I clip from?
Live streams on Twitch, Kick, YouTube and TikTok on every plan. Creator Plus also lets you upload video files or paste in video URLs.
Does it clip during the stream or after?
During. ReelShift works from the live signal, not the VOD. Clips appear in your library minutes after the moment, while you are live.
Do I need a bot, a plugin or a browser source?
No. ReelShift watches the public live stream. There is nothing to install in OBS, Streamlabs or your chat.
How does the AI decide what to clip?
It reads audio spikes, emotion, gameplay highs and chat velocity in real time. When the room erupts, the clip is already being cut.
Can I clip a moment myself?
Yes. Say "clip it", "clip this" or "clip that" out loud while you stream and ReelShift cuts the 60 seconds before you said it. It lands in your Clips tab a few minutes later with a "clip that!" tag. Your mic just has to be part of your stream audio. Works on every platform and every plan.
Are captions automatic?
Yes. Animated, word-synced subtitles are burned in automatically on every clip.
How does auto reframe work?
Smart cropping tracks the action and keeps you centered, reframed for vertical. Face-cam, gameplay or both, chosen per clip.
Do you post clips for me?
Only if you tell us to. Clips come back captioned and ready. You review them, pick the keepers and post when you want. On Creator Plus you can also schedule approved clips to post automatically. Nothing goes out without your say-so.
Which platforms can I post to?
Every clip is export-ready for TikTok, YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels.
How long do my clips stay?
Clips stay in your library for 30 days. Download the ones you want to keep, or let ReelShift post them straight to your accounts; posted clips live on the platform, not with us.
What counts as a channel?
A channel is one connected stream source, like a Twitch, Kick, YouTube or TikTok account. Your plan sets how many you can connect at the same time.
Are clips really unlimited?
Yes. Every plan includes unlimited clips; what is metered is streaming hours, the time we spend watching your live channels each month. If you run out, clipping pauses until next month, or you can buy extra hours: $15 buys 10 hours, they never expire, and they are only used after your plan hours run out.
Does it work for Just Chatting, IRL or podcasts?
Yes. Because detection is driven by audio, emotion and chat rather than a killfeed, conversation-driven streams get clipped too.
Who owns the clips?
You do. Streams and clips belong to you, full stop.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel whenever you like and you keep access until the end of your paid period.
Is there a free trial?
Not at the moment. Plans start at $24.99 a month, month to month.
