NexusClips turns long streams, podcasts and videos into vertical, captioned shorts once the video exists. If you are weighing it, the real question is when you need your clips: after the stream, or while it is still live.
Twitch · YouTube · Kick · TikTok + uploads & URLs on Creator Plus
Short answer: NexusClips (also written Nexus Clips) works on finished videos: connect Twitch or YouTube, paste a link or upload a file, and it finds, frames and captions the moments, with its automatic clipper running once a stream ends. Free is hand editing with a watermark; Pro is $18.99 a month in the US. Opus Clip is the closest match for uploads, Eklipse for gaming streams, StreamLadder for hand editing. The main difference is timing: ReelShift clips the stream while it is still live. Checked 21 October 2026.

Checked on nexusclips.com, opus.pro and eklipse.gg on 21 October 2026. NexusClips and Opus Clip prices are US prices; both are lower in some countries. Plans change; verify before you buy.
NexusClips calls itself an "AI Clip Maker for Streams, Podcasts and Videos". Its terms name Nexus Live, SL, of Barcelona, as the company behind it, and its homepage says it is trusted by 40,000+ creators. What its own site says, checked 21 October 2026:
Not while you are live, going by its own pages. Its streamers page says the automatic clipper detects "the best clips from your streams when they end", and its main flow starts from a video that already exists.
You can flag moments during a stream: a voice command like "clip this", or its Mobile Streamdeck, which lets you "create live clips with the press of a key" from your phone. Its site does not say whether those clips reach you before the stream ends.
That gap matters: a clip posted while the stream is still on can send viewers to the live channel. More in why your clips arrive hours late.
Its pricing page sits behind a sign in and shows prices by region. These figures come from the price list its website loads, checked 21 October 2026:
Pro adds AI clip finding, no watermark, HD downloads, posting and scheduling, AI thumbnails and AI editing. Its plan card says "unlimited processing minutes", while its help center says AI tools share a monthly allowance in Standard, Premium and Ultra tiers, shown on your plan page. A channel limit is not stated.
Before paying: there are no refunds, which it puts down to AI processing costs, and you cancel from Settings, keeping Pro until the paid period ends. Businesses can buy a done for you service from €100 a month.
For finished videos, it covers a lot. Its strengths, going by its own description:
The limits: clips come after the stream, not during it; Kick and TikTok LIVE are not listed; Free has no AI clip finding; and there are no refunds, so test Free first. Some of its landing pages still promise "free automatic" Twitch clips with "no credits", but its plan FAQ puts AI clipping on Pro. Go by the plan FAQ.
It suits streamers and podcasters who record first, post later and want captions and layouts done for them.
These two are the closest match: both turn a finished video into vertical, captioned clips and can post to TikTok and YouTube.
Pick Opus Clip for podcasts, with a free plan to try it first; pick NexusClips if most of your material is Twitch streams. Neither clips during the stream. See ReelShift vs Opus Clip.
Eklipse is the gaming specialist: it goes through each Twitch, YouTube, Kick or Facebook stream for clutches, reactions and key moments. It is paid only ($24.99 a month or $179.99 a year); a free account previews one scanned stream. Its Premium Pro plan adds Live Clipping: moments you pick, clipped during a Twitch stream, in three games (Call of Duty: Warzone, Black Ops 7, Battlefield 6). We found no Premium Pro price on its public pages. See ReelShift vs Eklipse.
StreamLadder is closest to the NexusClips free plan: a free hand editor at 720p and 30fps, with AI clipping (ClipGPT) on Creator at $27 a month.
Vizard is an upload tool like Opus Clip: 60 free credits a month at 720p, then $29 a month for Creator.
None of these free plans clip a stream while it is live. The wider field is in best AI clipping tools.
ReelShift tackles timing from the other end. Add any public Twitch, Kick, YouTube or TikTok LIVE channel and it follows what the streamer says (stories, jokes, hot takes, big reactions), loud stretches and, on game streams, kills and wins on screen. Vertical clips with word synced captions arrive in your library within minutes, while the stream is still live. On your own stream, saying "clip that" saves the last 60 seconds.
It is built for live streams, so for a finished podcast or upload, NexusClips or Opus Clip fits better. No free plan: Creator is $24.99 a month (1 channel), Creator Plus $59.99 (3), Agency $199.99 (10), after a 7 day free trial (1 channel, 5 streaming hours, card required, nothing charged today). See the live stream clipper and pricing.
Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial: 1 channel and 5 streaming hours to try it on a real stream. Nothing is charged today, and we email you the day before it ends.
Yes, there is a free plan with no card: you edit part of a Twitch stream into a vertical, captioned clip by hand, with a watermark. AI clip finding and posting are on Pro. Checked 21 October 2026.
The price list on its website shows $18.99 a month or $89.99 a year in the US, Canada, the UK, Australia and New Zealand, and $12.49 or $59.99 in most other countries. No refunds.
Its automatic clipper runs when the stream ends. A "clip this" voice command or its phone button marks moments during the stream, but its site does not say those clips arrive before the stream ends.
Kick is not stated on its site, which lists Twitch, YouTube, links and file uploads. Eklipse, StreamLadder and ReelShift all work with Kick.
Opus Clip and Vizard give 60 free credits a month for uploads, and StreamLadder has a free hand editor. ReelShift has a free in-browser tool that turns a Twitch clip vertical; its live clipper has a 7 day free trial, not a free plan.
From Settings, under your username. Pro stays on until the end of the period you paid for, and there are no refunds.
