The pipeline, step by step

  1. The stream ends. Nothing has happened yet. Your clipper is waiting for a finished recording.
  2. The platform processes the VOD. On Twitch this only exists if Store Past Broadcasts is on, and the VOD expires after 7, 14 or 60 days depending on your status. On YouTube, streams under 12 hours are archived; longer ones may not be captured at all.
  3. The clipper fetches the VOD and runs detection across the whole thing. A six-hour stream is six hours of video to analyze.
