Battles are the loudest part of TikTok LIVE, and the score is made of Gifts that cost real money. How TikTok scores a battle, what the points cost viewers and what creators get, checked 24 October 2026.

Short answer: battle points are a score, not money, and TikTok does not publish what a point is worth. Its help center says only that "each Gift or like represents a certain number of points." TikTok's own LIVE gift data labels several Gifts with match points equal to their coin price, so the usual reading is 1 point per coin of Gifts. On that basis 1,000 points cost viewers about $10.40 at TikTok's US web price, 100,000 points about $1,040 and 1 million about $10,400. Likes and power ups also add points, so the real spend can be lower. What the creator receives is not published.
| Coins of Gifts, if 1 point = 1 coin | Viewers paid, TikTok web price | Creator gets | |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1,000 points | 1,000 coins | about $10.40 | Not published by TikTok |
| 10,000 points | 10,000 coins | about $104 | Not published by TikTok |
| 50,000 points | 50,000 coins | about $520 | Not published by TikTok |
| 80,000 points | 80,000 coins | about $832 | Not published by TikTok |
| 100,000 points | 100,000 coins | about $1,040 | Not published by TikTok |
| 1,000,000 points | 1,000,000 coins | about $10,400 | Not published by TikTok |
Assumes every point came from a Gift at 1 point per coin. TikTok publishes no points rate, and likes and power ups also score, so this is arithmetic, not TikTok's number. Dollars at $0.0104 a coin, the custom amount price on tiktok.com/coin seen from the United States, checked 24 October 2026. iPhone app coins cost roughly 37% to 47% more.
Viewers say battle, PK or PK battle. TikTok's name is LIVE match, and its help center describes it as "a type of co-host mode on TikTok LIVE that allows people to complete challenges against each other as individuals or on a team." Viewers score by sending Gifts or liking the LIVE, and "the creator or team that collects the most points wins."
Who can battle. TikTok's help center says you must be 18 to go LIVE and have 1,000 followers, a number that "may vary across regions". Sending or receiving Gifts needs 18 (19 in South Korea), and Gifts exist only in some countries. TikTok publishes no fixed match length.
TikTok's help center gives scoring one line: "Each Gift or like represents a certain number of points." It does not say how many points a Rose, a Lion or a single like is worth.
The closest thing to a rate sits in the gift list that TikTok's own LIVE web player loads. Some Gifts there carry a tip such as "Send to contribute 500 match or ranking points", and in every case we found on 24 October 2026, the points equal the Gift's coin price:
That backs the common rule of thumb, one point per coin. But TikTok shows it on a handful of Gifts, not as a rule, and other LIVE features score differently: in the same list, a LIVE game gives "+10 points" for a 1 coin Wink Charm. Every Gift's coin price is on TikTok gift values: a Rose is 1 coin, a Galaxy 1,000 and a Lion 29,999.
At one point per coin, the viewer side is points times what a coin cost. On tiktok.com/coin, seen from the US on 24 October 2026, a custom amount is $0.0104 a coin and packs run from 30 coins for $0.31 to 17,500 for $180.99.
App figures use Apple's US App Store list for TikTok, 1.43 to 1.53 cents a coin. Other currencies are on how much TikTok coins cost, and the TikTok coin calculator runs any number. Free likes and the Boosting Glove mean a big score can have cost much less.
TikTok does not publish it. Its Virtual Items Policy and Rewards Policy (last updated 22 January 2026, checked 24 October 2026) say this:
So 100,000 points tell you roughly what viewers spent, never what the creator banked. Payout fees and limits are in how much TikTok pays, and the rest of the LIVE money side in how to make money on TikTok LIVE.
TikTok explains power ups in an article on its LIVE creator site dated 18 September 2024, still online on 24 October 2026. It names four:
How viewers get them. When a creator wins, the top 3 Gifters get the chance of a random power up. It sits in the viewer's backpack, expires after 5 days and works only in a LIVE by the same creator.
What the Glove does to the math. With a 30% chance of 5x, Gifts sent during a Glove score about 2.2 times their normal points on average (0.7 × 1 + 0.3 × 5, our arithmetic). Do not mix up the Glove with the Boxing Gloves Gift, an ordinary Gift that costs 299 coins in TikTok's US gift list.
SMM panels and sites that sell "battle points", fake likes or cheap Gifts break TikTok's rules, and the creator carries most of the risk:
Free points. Likes are the only free points TikTok describes, at a rate it does not publish. An auto clicker is the "automation tools" case above, and TikTok's help center says liking too quickly can get an account disabled for 24 hours. Free coin or point sites are a scam risk.
Punishments and Gift pressure. The same guidelines let TikTok demonetize content "intended to demean, degrade, or humiliate oneself or others", reckless dares such as excessive eating, and guilt trips for Gifts. A humiliating dare for the loser can cost the creator their Gifts.
The last seconds of a close match, a comeback, the creator's face when a Lion lands: battles are full of moments people share. ReelShift clips your TikTok LIVE while you are still live. It follows what you say, the stories, jokes and big reactions, plus the loud moments, and sends vertical clips with word synced captions to your library within minutes, ready to post. At one point per coin of Gifts, which TikTok's own gift data supports, about $10.40 at TikTok's US web price. TikTok publishes no points rate and no creator share.
About $10,400 of Gifts at TikTok's US web price, or $14,300 to $15,300 with iPhone app coins, if every point was a Gift at one point per coin.
Not directly. Points decide who wins. Gifts become Diamonds, and TikTok weighs Diamonds with other factors when it decides LIVE rewards, at rates it does not publish.
For 30 seconds, each Gift has a 30% chance of being worth 5 times its normal points, according to TikTok's LIVE creator site.
Not legitimately. Bought points, fake likes and SMM panels break TikTok's Community Guidelines and can lead to bans and cut Diamonds.
18 to go LIVE and to send or receive Gifts (19 in South Korea for Gifts). TikTok also lists 1,000 followers, which may vary by region.
