When Twitch's own feature is enough
If you are a Partner or Affiliate, stream in English, only stream on Twitch, and mostly want clips for your Twitch page, Twitch's built-in Auto Clips and "Clip That" are free and worth turning on. They create normal Twitch clips with captions in your Clips Manager.
When you need more than a Twitch clip
Most streamers grow off-platform. Twitch's clips now come with a portrait version and can be posted to TikTok and Shorts directly, which is real progress. What they cannot do is exist while you are still live: Auto Clips arrive within 30 minutes of the stream ending.
