The same coins, two very different prices. Here is what they cost on the web, in the app and in your currency.

Short answer: on TikTok's own recharge page, tiktok.com/coin, coins cost about 1.03 to 1.04 US cents each: 350 coins for $3.65, 1,400 for $14.49 and 7,000 for $72.39, checked from the United States on 16 October 2026. The iPhone app charges more: Apple's App Store lists 350 coins for $5.00 and 330 for $4.99, about 1.43 to 1.53 cents a coin. So 1,000 coins are about $10.40 on the web and roughly $14.30 to $15.30 in the app. Prices change by country and by where you buy.
| Price (US) | Per coin | |
|---|---|---|
| 30 coins | $0.31 | 1.033¢ |
| 350 coins | $3.65 | 1.043¢ |
| 700 coins | $7.25 | 1.036¢ |
| 1,400 coins | $14.49 | 1.035¢ |
| 3,500 coins | $36.20 | 1.034¢ |
| 7,000 coins | $72.39 | 1.034¢ |
| 17,500 coins | $180.99 | 1.034¢ |
| Custom amount | $0.0104 a coin | 1.040¢ |
| 350 coins, iPhone app | $5.00 | 1.429¢ |
Web prices from the data behind TikTok's recharge page for a visitor in the United States, and the iPhone row from Apple's US App Store listing for TikTok, both checked 16 October 2026. Prices differ by country, and your bank may add currency fees.
The web page sells packs, not round numbers, but it also offers a custom amount at $0.0104 a coin. Here is the math for the amounts people ask about. App figures use the 1.43 to 1.53 cents per coin that Apple's US listing works out to, so they are ranges.
What those coins buy, gift by gift, is on TikTok gift values. A Lion, for example, is 29,999 coins.
The web. TikTok says so itself: its recharge page offers coins "at a lower price, with more payment options and a customizable recharge amount." On 16 October 2026 the gap looked like this:
Bigger web packs barely change the price per coin, from 1.043 cents on the 350 pack to 1.034 cents on the 17,500 pack, so there is no real bulk discount. Buy what you will actually use.
Coins bought on the web land in the same balance you see in the app. If they do not show up, TikTok's help center says to restart the app, refresh the Balance page and check that you are logged into the same account on both. Kick works the same way, by the way: KICKs also cost more in the iPhone app than on kick.com.
TikTok documents four ways, depending on where you live:
You must be 18 or older, or 19 in South Korea, to buy coins. Web recharge is only offered in supported countries, and TikTok's help center does not list them. Coins are not only for gifts: TikTok's policy says they also pay for Promote, its ad service for your videos, and for Star Comments.
TikTok's policy says the cost per coin "differs depending on how many you buy and where you buy them", and every charge is made in the currency shown at checkout. Apple's App Store listings show what the iPhone app charges in each country. A few, checked 16 October 2026:
Apple's listing shows only ten in-app items, so the menu inside TikTok has more packs than these. Notice that local app prices are not just the US price converted: 330 coins cost $4.99 in the US app, while the Canadian price of C$6.59 is about $4.65 and the Australian A$7.95 about $5.53 at the European Central Bank rates of 16 October 2026.
One more cost to watch: if you pay in a currency your card is not in, TikTok's policy says your payment provider may add currency exchange or foreign transaction fees on top. For Latin America in pesos and soles, see the Spanish guide, cuánto valen las monedas de TikTok.
Sites and apps that promise free coins are exactly what TikTok tells you to avoid. Its help page on phishing says: "Never trust any third-party websites that promise to give away free likes, fans, crowns, Coins, or other incentives, as they may be able to access your login information." TikTok also says it will never ask for your password or verification codes.
The policy backs that up. Virtual Items, coins included, "can only be purchased or received from TikTok", and cannot be bought from, sold to or swapped with other users. TikTok does say it "may also allow users additional ways to collect Coins from time to time", and its Rewards Policy lists Coins among the rewards its own programs can give out. So the only free coins are ones TikTok itself hands you inside the app. A generator, a giveaway link or a cheap reseller is not that.
Coins become gifts, and gifts cannot be refunded either. What happens on the creator's side, Diamonds and payouts, is covered in how much TikTok pays.
Viewers buy coins to support streamers they already watch, so getting found is the hard part. ReelShift watches your stream on TikTok LIVE, Twitch, Kick or YouTube and clips it while you are still live, following the stories, jokes and big reactions, then gives you vertical clips with word-synced captions, ready to post. Plans start at $24.99 a month with a 7 day free trial. See the TikTok LIVE clipper.
Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial: 1 channel and 5 streaming hours to try it on a real stream. Nothing is charged today, and we email you the day before it ends.
About $10.40 on TikTok's website for a buyer in the United States, and roughly $14.30 to $15.30 in the iPhone app, based on prices checked 16 October 2026.
About $1.04 on the web at the custom amount price, and about $1.43 to $1.53 in the iPhone app. The smallest web pack is 30 coins for $0.31.
Yes. TikTok's own recharge page says coins cost less there. On 16 October 2026, 350 coins were $3.65 on the web and $5.00 in the iPhone app.
Only when TikTok itself gives them out in one of its own programs. TikTok warns never to trust third-party sites that promise free Coins, because they may be after your login.
No. TikTok's policy says coins cannot be exchanged for cash, and coins bought directly from TikTok are not refundable in the US.
