Short answer: TVU publishes no TVU One price: you send a purchase or rental request and TVU says it replies with a quote within one business day. TVU's own Pay-per-Use page calls under $5K for its TM930 or TM960 "less than a fifth of the usual price". You get 6 built-in 5G modems, up to 12 bonded connections and latency as low as 0.3 seconds. On a phone, the TVU Go app costs $29 or $69 a month.

The TVU One is a broadcast transmitter: plug in a camera and it encodes the video and sends it over every connection at once. TVU's transport, ISX (older pages say IS+), splits the stream across all links and adapts as each one rises or drops, so when one carrier jams in a crowd the others carry the load. TVU sells it to streamers as the TVU One IRL Backpack. Per TVU's data sheets:
It takes 6 nano SIMs (TVU's hardware guide), so the data comes from carrier plans you choose, and also bonds Wi-Fi, Ethernet, USB modems and Starlink.
Why big IRL streams use it: six modems on different carriers rarely fail at the same moment, so the stream stays up while you walk or push through a crowd. TVU adds hot swap batteries, one button go live and 24/7 support. Streaming from a car? Let someone else drive: Twitch's community guidelines ban dangerous or distracted driving, including using a phone while driving.
Manual and data sheet: both data sheets are PDFs on TVU's One product page; the TVU One TM1000v3 Hardware Quick Start User Guide is in TVU's Tips library (dated 19 August 2026).
TVU publishes no price for the TVU One, the IRL backpack or the PowerPac. You send a Purchase request or Rental request, and TVU says an engineer replies within one business day with pricing and the configuration to order. On 22 October 2026, B&H's site search said it does not carry TVU One products.
The "$30,000 backpack" searches: no official page we found lists a $30,000 TVU price. The real tiers run from a $29 a month app to a LiveU Solo PRO from $1,555 to a TVU One by quote, and our IRL streaming setup guide lays them out. Buying used? Ask TVU support first whether the unit and its software package can move to your account.
Bonding needs two ends: the backpack splits your video across up to 12 links, and something on the other side rebuilds it before it reaches Twitch, Kick or YouTube. Every route TVU describes runs through its own receiving side:
Ask for the receiver or cloud cost in the same quote. Kick takes up to 1080p60 at 8,000 kbps, H.264 only, so on Kick the One buys stability, not picture size.
Data: at 6 Mbps, one hour moves about 2.7 GB (6 × 3,600 ÷ 8 ÷ 1,000), so a 6 hour stream is about 16 GB across your SIMs before bonding overhead: arithmetic, not a TVU figure.
TVU Go, launched on 17 April 2026, is TVU's phone app for IRL streamers. It bonds your phone's 4G or 5G, Wi-Fi and tethered phones with the same ISX transport as the backpack, manages bitrate on its own, and plays a backup clip if every signal drops. It streams to Twitch, YouTube, Kick, TikTok, X, IRL Toolkit and more, with external mics and some cameras, such as the DJI Pocket 3.
Both have a 3 day free trial (App Store and tvugo.app, checked 22 October 2026), and TVU recommends an iPhone 13 or newer.
TVU Go and OBS: add OBS as a destination set to SRT Listener, go live, copy the OBS URL the app shows (new every stream, keep it private) and paste it into an OBS Media Source with Local File off. tvugo.app lists the OBS feed under Unlimited.
TVU Go vs TVU Anywhere: TVU Go is the paid creator app that streams straight to the platforms. TVU Anywhere is TVU's free newsroom app, paired with a TVU server by QR code. TVU's own rule of thumb: the app suits walks, travel and meetups; the backpack is for dense crowds, fast movement and long nonstop streams. Other bonding apps are compared in the best IRL streaming apps.
TVU Go rig kits: TVU's Rig Kits page lists the parts it uses with TVU Go, linked to Amazon, with no kit price: a phone cooler, an LED light, a 250 W power bank and cables, plus an Accsoon SeeMo (iPhone) or a j5create capture hub (Android) to bring a camera's HDMI picture into the phone.
TVU PowerPac: V-mount batteries, 50 Wh and 310 g (PowerPac) or 98 Wh and 520 g (PowerPac 2), with D-tap and USB outputs, per TVU's data sheet. They mount inside the backpack and swap without ending the stream; no price is published. The internal battery takes about 3 hours to charge with the unit off.
In the box (TVU's hardware guide): the transmitter, a 128 GB micro SD card, an AC adapter and the breathable backpack. Camera, mic and SIM cards are extra.
What to buy first: your phone, a bonding app and a second connection. Move to a Solo PRO or a BELABOX build when you need a real camera and more modems. A TVU One fits when the stream cannot fail. Whatever you carry, follow local law and venue rules when filming people.
ReelShift needs no gear in your backpack: it watches your public stream on Twitch, Kick, YouTube or TikTok LIVE. It follows what you say (stories, jokes, hot takes, big reactions) and the loud moments, so it works on IRL streams with no game on screen. Vertical clips with word synced captions land in your library within minutes, while you are still live, and saying "clip that" saves the last 60 seconds, hands free. Creator is $24.99 a month for 1 channel, with a 7 day free trial (1 channel, 5 streaming hours, card required, nothing charged today). See ReelShift for IRL streamers and pricing.
Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial: 1 channel and 5 streaming hours to try it on a real stream. Nothing is charged today, and we email you the day before it ends.
TVU publishes no price. It sells and rents the TVU One by quote and says it replies within one business day. B&H does not carry it.
Yes. The bonded feed goes to a TVU Transceiver or TVU's cloud (such as the TVU OneLive app or the IRL Toolkit integration), which passes it on to Twitch, Kick or YouTube.
Starter is $29 a month or $290 a year (50 hours, 1 destination). Unlimited is $69 a month or $690 a year. Both start with a 3 day free trial.
TVU Go is the paid creator app that streams straight to the platforms. TVU Anywhere is a free newsroom app that pairs with a TVU server.
TVU lists 3 hours internal for the TM1000 V4 and 2 hours internal, or 4 with a PowerPac, for the TM1100. Batteries hot swap.
A LiveU Solo PRO (from $1,555), a BELABOX build, or a bonding app such as TVU Go.
