How to clip a
TikTok LIVE.

Route 1: clip the LIVE replay in TikTok Studio

TikTok saves a recording of your LIVE automatically. Per TikTok's support page, replays are available to view and download for 30 days. To get to them:

1. Open your Profile, tap the menu, then TikTok Studio.
2. Tap LIVE, then LIVE recordings. On desktop you can also use LIVE Center.
3. Pick a replay. You get three actions: Download the whole recording, Clip a segment and post it, or Delete.

The Clip option is the simplest native route: trim, tap Next, follow the posting steps. The catches are timing and effort. You are doing it after the LIVE, one clip at a time, scrubbing a recording that may run for hours. Captions and framing are whatever you add in the editor.

Route 2: LIVE Studio highlights on PC

If you stream from a computer with TikTok LIVE Studio, it can generate highlights for you. According to TikTok's LIVE Studio help: highlights are created automatically based on viewer interactions, comments and gifts, and usually run 30 seconds to 2 minutes. You can also mark one yourself during the LIVE with the Highlight button or Ctrl+1, which captures the previous 2 minutes. After the LIVE, an end-of-stream pop-up and LIVE Center let you edit, download, clip or post them.

This is the closest thing TikTok has to real-time clipping, and it is worth turning on if you use LIVE Studio. It is PC-only, the highlights are reviewed after the LIVE, and captions and vertical framing are still on you.

Route 3: automatic clips while the LIVE is on
