What LIVE Studio is

TikTok calls LIVE Studio its tool for professional LIVE content on your computer. It runs on Windows and macOS. TikTok's FAQ lists a minimum of an Intel Core i3 9th gen or AMD Ryzen 5 3000 processor and 8 GB of RAM.

Get LIVE access

Per TikTok, if you cannot go LIVE on the TikTok app, you probably do not have access in LIVE Studio either. To apply:

1. In LIVE Studio, click Your LIVE access.
2. Click Get access if you are already a TikTok LIVE creator, or Apply if you stream on other platforms.
3. Wait for review. TikTok says it might take days.

Requirements vary by country and can change. If you get trial access, TikTok's FAQ says to go LIVE for at least 25 minutes, twice, in your first week, or access can be removed when the trial ends. Basic LIVE rules (18+, follower count) are in how to go LIVE on TikTok.

Set it up step by step

1. Install LIVE Studio and log in with your TikTok account.
2. Run the setup wizard. Pick your content type, connect your mic and camera, and choose video quality.
3. Coming from OBS or another app? Click Import from another tool to bring some of your settings over.
4. Build a scene. Click Add source. Each scene takes up to 20 sources.
5. Add what you stream: Game capture for a PC game, your camera, a capture card for a console, or Cast to show your phone screen over Wi-Fi or a cable (Android, or iPhone through Screen Mirroring).
6. Go LIVE.

Portrait and landscape at the same time

TikTok is watched on phones, but many streams are wide. LIVE Studio's dual layout lets you go LIVE in portrait and landscape at once, so you can arrange a proper vertical layout for phone viewers. You can also invite up to 3 creators to co-host your LIVE.

Save highlights while live

Press the Highlight button or Ctrl+1 to save the past 2 minutes. LIVE Studio also saves highlights on its own from game moments, gift and comment spikes, and viewer join peaks. Find them after the LIVE on the ending page or in LIVE Center. Full details in how TikTok LIVE highlights work.

Replays and highlights both arrive after the fact.
