Short answer: in TikTok LIVE Studio, highlights are short clips, usually 30 seconds to 2 minutes, saved during your LIVE. They are made automatically from game moments, gift and comment spikes, and viewer join peaks, or by you: press the Highlight button or Ctrl+1 to save the past 2 minutes. After the LIVE, find them on the ending page or in LIVE Center to edit, download, clip or post.
Automatic highlights
Per TikTok's LIVE Studio help, highlights are created on their own from three kinds of moments:
- Game moments
- Interaction moments, such as gift peaks or comment spikes
- Viewer join peaks

Something happens that the room did not react to yet? Click the Highlight button or press Ctrl+1. LIVE Studio saves the past 2 minutes.
After the LIVE: find, edit, post
- When you end the LIVE, a pop-up on the ending page shows your highlights. You can also find them later in LIVE Center.
- Edit, delete, download, clip or post each one. Editing includes trimming and automatic captions.
- Try Autocut, which TikTok says turns your highlights into ready-to-publish short videos with one click.
TikTok says replays and highlights sync between LIVE Studio and the mobile app.
The limits
- LIVE Studio only. TikTok's highlight help is for LIVE Studio on a computer. It does not describe the same feature for LIVEs started from the phone.
- Standard quality. TikTok says highlights support standard-quality download and basic editing.
- Reviewed after the LIVE. You post them once you are off, when the moment has cooled.
