Short answer: on Windows, press Windows + Alt + G to save the last 30 seconds with Xbox Game Bar. With an NVIDIA card, turn on Instant Replay in the NVIDIA App (Alt+Shift+F10) and save with Alt+F10. With an AMD card, turn on Instant Replay in AMD Software and use its Save Instant Replay hotkey. If you stream with OBS, the Replay Buffer does the same for your stream.

Xbox Game Bar: built into Windows
Nothing to install. Microsoft's shortcut list says:
- Windows + Alt + G records the last 30 seconds. You can change that length in Game Bar's settings.
- Windows + Alt + R starts and stops a normal recording.
- Windows + Alt + Print Screen takes a screenshot.
Clips are saved as MP4 files in your Videos folder, in a folder called Captures, named after the game and the time.
NVIDIA App: Instant Replay
If you have an NVIDIA graphics card, the NVIDIA App keeps a rolling recording while you play.
- Open the overlay with Alt+Z (NVIDIA's default).
- Turn on Instant Replay. NVIDIA's announcement gives Alt+Shift+F10 for this.
- Set the length with the settings cog in the overlay.
- Press Alt+F10 to save the last few minutes.
NVIDIA also lists Alt+F9 to start and stop a full recording and Alt+F1 for a screenshot. NVIDIA's pages don't all describe the Instant Replay keys the same way, so check the shortcuts in the overlay settings on your own PC.
AMD Software: Instant Replay
For AMD Radeon cards, recording is part of AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition (full install). Per AMD's support article:
- Open AMD Software, type Record in the search box and choose Record & Stream Settings.
- Turn on Instant Replay. It keeps recording in the background and can hold up to the last 20 minutes. Use the slider to set the length.
- Set your save key. Search Hotkey, open Hotkey Settings, scroll to Media Hotkeys and set Save Instant Replay. Some AMD hotkeys need Ctrl or Alt in the combination.
Files go to Videos\Radeon ReLive by default. AMD's article doesn't list the default save key, so check it in Hotkey Settings.
Streaming? Use the OBS Replay Buffer
The three tools above record your game. If you stream with OBS, the Replay Buffer records your actual stream: camera, alerts, overlay and all. Turn it on in Settings, Output, set a Save Replay key in Settings, Hotkeys, and press it after a moment. Full setup in how to clip with the OBS Replay Buffer.
Whichever tool you use, you get a wide video file. For TikTok, Shorts and Reels you still need to trim it, make it vertical and add captions.
