Short answer: Kick's own advice: write specific, honest titles with searchable words, pick the correct category, keep a schedule you can stick to, and post on social media 30 to 60 minutes before you go live. Show your face and start with energy. Raid and host other streamers. Then post vertical clips of your best moments to TikTok, Shorts and Reels, because that is where new viewers find you.
1. Titles and the preview
Kick's help center says a good title is specific, honest, hooky, searchable and short. "Playing Elden Ring for the first time" beats "stream". Kick suggests patterns like a goal ("Trying to beat..."), a question ("Can I survive...?") or a vibe ("Chill Q&A with chat"). Update the title as the stream changes.
The live preview matters as much. Kick says streams with a webcam perform better, a clean overlay beats a cluttered one, and you should not sit in menus or loading screens. Start with energy and get into the content quickly.
2. Category, timing and notifications
- Category: set it in Edit Stream Info before you go live, and make it match what you are doing. Kick treats picking the wrong category to attract viewers as a guidelines violation.
- Timing: Kick lists evenings, weekend afternoons, early mornings and late nights as strong times, and says consistency matters more than perfect timing.
- Promotion: post on social media 30 to 60 minutes before you go live and set up live notifications for your followers.
3. Raids and hosts
At the end of your stream, raid another live streamer with /raid or from Channel Actions in your dashboard. You can also host a live channel, which sends your viewers there. Both need at least 5 viewers on your stream to unlock. Raid channels your size, stay a minute to say hi in their chat, and many will return the favor one day. Kick does not support two streamers broadcasting onto one channel, so for collabs, each of you streams on your own channel and you talk over Discord.
4. Know the small channel limits
Kick shows smaller channels at up to 720p60 until they reach a milestone of around 75 average viewers. Stream at up to 1080p60 anyway, but make sure text and faces still read at 720p. The bigger goals on Kick:

5. Clips are how people find you
