Short answer: a gifted Tier 1 sub costs the same as a normal one: $5.99 in the US on the web. So 10 gifted subs are $59.90, 20 are $119.80 and 100 are $599. On Twitch's standard 50/50 split the streamer keeps about half: roughly $3 a sub, so about $299.50 of 100 gifts. It is 60% or 70% in the Plus Program, and Twitch takes taxes and fees off before the split. Prices are lower in many countries, and bundles of 5 or more are sometimes discounted.
| Gifter pays (US) | Streamer at 50% | At 60% | At 70% | |

Tier 1 at Twitch's US web price of $5.99 (Local Subscription Pricing Countries, help.twitch.tv, checked 24 October 2026), before any tax added at checkout. The streamer columns are arithmetic on Twitch's published shares and are the most a channel can get: Twitch takes taxes, payment processing and currency fees off before the split and does not say how much. On a discounted bundle the share is worked out on the lower price.
Exactly what a normal sub costs. Twitch's Partner page lists the sub options as $5.99, $9.99 and $24.99 (Tier 1, 2 and 3), and its price list puts the US Tier 1 at $5.99 on the web. Gift subs are Tier 1 unless you pick otherwise.
What each tier unlocks is in how much is a Twitch sub.
Twitch sets local prices, and its local pricing page says they apply to community gift subs and single gift subs too. The gifter pays the price of their own country. Tier 1 web prices from Twitch's list, checked 24 October 2026:
The list covers Tier 1 on the web only. Twitch publishes no Tier 2 or Tier 3 price outside the US, and no app prices. The streamer's share is worked out on the price the gifter actually paid, so 100 gifts from Nigeria are worth far less to a channel than 100 from the US. The Twitch sub calculator does this math by country.
Twitch's revenue guide says the standard split is 50/50, after "applicable deductions (such as taxes, payment processing fees, and currency conversion fees)". So about $3 of a $5.99 gift, at most, and Twitch does not say how big the deductions are.
On Kick, a gifted sub is $5 and the streamer keeps $4.75: see how much is a Kick sub.
Outside that experiment, the most in one chat command is 100, so 500 or 1,000 gifted subs means several purchases. Anonymous gifting is a checkbox when you pick recipients, but Twitch says the /gift chat command cannot be anonymous.
Big channels cost the same. Twitch sets the price and creators cannot change it, so 100 gifted subs cost a US gifter $599 whether the channel is CaseOh's, Kai Cenat's or a brand new one. What any single streamer keeps is not public: Twitch publishes no channel's share and also offers Premium Partner agreements. On the published shares it is $299.50 to $419.30, before deductions.
No. Twitch's gift sub guide says gift subscriptions "do not automatically renew on their own", and for gifters: "No recurring gifting." The gifter is never charged again.
Streamers track gifted subs in Earnings Analytics, split by tier.
Twitch's refund page says gift subs "are not refundable except where the purchaser experienced a technical issue with the purchase, the purchase was fraudulently made, or where otherwise required by law". Its gift FAQ is shorter: "All purchases are final." Buyers in the EU, EEA and UK may have a legal right to withdraw, set out in Twitch's Terms of Sale (last modified 12 August 2026). For a purchase in the iPhone app, Apple handles the refund. An approved refund reaches your card within 10 business days.
On chargebacks, the Terms of Sale let Twitch suspend or cancel subscription access when a payment is reversed, and it can restrict purchases or suspend accounts that abuse its refund policy. For streamers:
Gift bombs land on busy streams, and new viewers mostly arrive from short clips on TikTok, Reels and Shorts. ReelShift clips your Twitch stream while you are live: it follows what you say, the loud moments and, on game streams, the kills and wins on screen, and delivers vertical clips with word synced captions within minutes, ready to post. Say "clip that" to save the last 60 seconds. Plans start at $24.99 a month, with a 7 day free trial (1 channel, 5 streaming hours, card required, nothing charged today).
Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial: 1 channel and 5 streaming hours to try it on a real stream. Nothing is charged today, and we email you the day before it ends.
$59.90 at the US Tier 1 price of $5.99. The streamer keeps about $29.95 on the standard 50/50 split, before Twitch's deductions.
$599 for a US gifter. The streamer keeps about $299.50 at 50%, $359.40 at 60% or $419.30 at 70%.
$119.80 in the US, of which the streamer keeps about $59.90 at 50%.
Community gifts are: Twitch's algorithm starts with eligible viewers in chat, then followers and mods. A gift to a specific viewer goes to that person.
No. A gift lasts 30 days, or 3, 6 or 12 months if bought that way, and the gifter is never charged again.
Only for a technical problem, fraud or where the law requires it. Otherwise Twitch says all purchases are final.
