Short answer: Streamer University is Kai Cenat's multi day creator event: selected streamers live on a college campus as "students", bigger creators teach as "professors", and everyone streams it live. It ran at the University of Akron in Ohio on 22 to 25 May 2025 and at Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas, on 15 to 20 July 2026. The official site, streameruniversity.com, now says the Class of 2027 is going to Europe, city to be announced: applications closed, no dates. If you are selected, attendance is free, with accommodation and meals covered, and you must be 18 or older.

What is Streamer University? How it works

The official FAQ describes a multi day event where growing creators, the students, learn from people with expertise in gaming, IRL or Just Chatting, the professors, through workshops, shared content and networking. TIME reported that Kai Cenat conceived and funded the first one himself and was both its organizer and its star.

In practice it plays like a reality show on a real campus:

  • Roles. Students come to learn, professors teach a class, club directors lead a campus club. Kai plays the dean, and the 2026 yearbook adds comic roles such as janitors and campus police.
  • Classes and clubs. The 2025 enrollment page listed courses such as business management, music production, and film and acting. The 2026 yearbook lists eight clubs, from Basketball and Debate to Musical Arts, led by T-Pain.
  • Everything is live. Attendees stream on their own channels all week, and Kai streams the ceremonies and story arcs on his.

Kai said on a 2025 stream that he took legal action to own the name, Billboard reported, so events with similar names are not his.

Streamer University 2027: Europe, city to be announced

Yes, there is a Streamer University 2027. On 26 October 2026 the homepage of streameruniversity.com read "We're going to Europe" above "Class of 2027, city to be announced", and its apply page said applications are closed.

Not announced yet: the city, the country, the dates, who can apply and how many places there are. The FAQ still online was written for the US edition (applicants must be able to travel in or to the United States), so expect the 2027 rules to change.

When could applications open? Nobody outside Kai's team knows, but past rounds were short. In 2025 the enrollment trailer went up on Kai Cenat Live on 6 May and the event began on 22 May. In 2026 the trailer came on 8 June, applications were sealed by 29 June, the class was revealed on stream on 6 July and the event opened on 15 July.

Watch three places: streameruniversity.com, Kai's Twitch channel (kaicenat) and his Kai Cenat Live YouTube channel.

How to apply: video, acceptance letter, fee and odds

Applications are closed right now. The 2026 round, from the official apply page and FAQ:

  1. Pick a role: Student, Professor or Club Director.
  2. Fill in four steps: personal details, social media, contact, then uploads. At least one social account is required.
  3. Upload a video of 1 to 3 minutes showing your personality, your content style and why you want to come (MP4, MOV or WebM, up to 500 MB), plus a photo ID. You cannot edit the application after sending it.
  4. Optional cameraman. Must be 18 or older with a photo ID. Not everyone gets one approved, and their travel is not covered.

Who can apply: anyone 18 or older who can travel for the event. Small streamers are welcome: the FAQ looks for "passion, creativity, and potential", not follower counts. In June 2026 there were also in person auditions: Kai Cenat Live posted a clip from one on 19 June.

Acceptance letter: accepted applicants are announced on Kai's stream, then get an acceptance email with next steps. The 2025 site called these acceptance letters.

Application fee: none on the official site. Its form has no payment step, and attendance is free if you are selected. Treat any site that charges you to apply as unofficial.

Acceptance rate: not published. The University of Akron said more than 1 million people applied in a few days for 2025, and TIME counted 130 creators on campus. Kai has not said how many came through the open applications, so no real rate can be worked out.

The 2026 class, alumni and awards

Streamer University 2026 list. The official 2026 Yearbook on streameruniversity.com, checked 26 October 2026, lists 152 names: 118 students and 34 staff, among them 11 professors such as Ludwig, Valkyrae, Agent00, Cinna and Lizzo, and 8 club directors such as T-Pain. Students included Lacy, Marlon, PlaqueBoyMax, Jasontheween and Stable Ronaldo. Not everyone seen on camera is in it: Kai Cenat Live posted "Rakai Joins Streamer University 2026" on 18 July, and Rakai is not listed.

2025 and the alumni. The first class was revealed on Kai's stream on 17 May 2025. The official site publishes no written 2025 list, so we do not reproduce one.

Location, campus and address. Not published in advance: the FAQ says details go to accepted applicants, and the University of Akron said the 2025 location stayed secret until participants arrived. There are no tickets: you attend by being selected.

Awards at the event. The 2026 yearbook names the closing titles: The Valedictorian went to MeesterKeem, MVP to Suburbbaby, Most Improved to mcqueennlive, Most Honourable to ysabellagrace and Best Professor to Ludwig, plus lighter ones such as Class Clown.

The Streamer Awards. The 2025 edition won Best Streamed Event at The Streamer Awards 2025, ahead of nominees including Streamer Prom and Streamer Games. The 2026 edition is nominated again, against ZEVENT, Streamer Games and 24 Hour Tag, with public voting open until 31 October 2026.

How to watch, and where to find Streamer University clips

  • Live: Kai's streams on Twitch (twitch.tv/kaicenat), which also go out live on his Kai Cenat Live YouTube channel, where the 2026 opening ceremony ran on 15 July. Attendees stream on their own channels too.
  • Replays and recaps: Kai Cenat Live posts full streams, day recaps and a best moments video after each edition (2 hours for 2026, posted 21 July), plus short clips of single moments.
  • Twitch clips: any logged in viewer can clip up to 60 seconds of a live stream or past broadcast and share the link.
  • YouTube clips: 5 to 60 seconds. On a live stream they need DVR on, and the clips show up once the stream ends and is posted as a video.

Is there a Streamer University clip library? Not an official one: none is linked from the official site or Kai's channels. Paid campaigns give joined clippers their own "reference materials", which belong to that campaign.

On TikTok, most Streamer University clips come from attendees and fan or clip pages. An account using Kai's name is not his unless his own channels link it.

Clipping Streamer University: permission and campaigns

Kai's own footage. Kai Cenat has no official clipping program we could verify, as our Kai Cenat clipping guide explains, and none was announced for Streamer University. Sharing Twitch or YouTube clips by their link is fine. Posting his streams on your own TikTok, Shorts or Reels needs his permission or a campaign that covers them. The FAQ says attendees consent to appearing in event content: that is a deal with the organizers, not a license for you.

Campaigns, checked 26 October 2026. Our Clip Rewards list had no Streamer University campaign. On Content Rewards itself, three campaigns launched around the 2026 event were still listed, none run by Kai:

  • Elina Meng, by the agency ClippedIn: her Streamer University streams, $1 per 1,000 views, TikTok only, $2 minimum and $100 maximum per clip. Still accepting clips, with $29 of its $1,000 budget left.
  • Stanley Meng, also by ClippedIn: the same terms, paused, $321 left.
  • Rynenzo Clips: a campaign with Kai Cenat's name in its title, $1.50 per 1,000 views on YouTube, Instagram and TikTok, budget spent and paused.

A campaign covers only the footage its brief names. For anyone else, ask first: how to get permission to clip a streamer. At the next edition, dozens of channels will be live at once and big moments get clipped by many people within minutes: see how to clip big streamers.

Where ReelShift fits at the next edition

Once you have a campaign or permission, ReelShift watches the public Twitch, YouTube Live, Kick or TikTok LIVE streams you add and cuts moments while they are live, from what the streamer says and the loud moments. Vertical 9:16 clips with word synced captions and an on screen title, in the stream's language, reach your library within minutes. Creator is $24.99 a month for 1 channel and Agency $199.99 for 10, with a 7 day free trial (1 channel, 5 streaming hours, card required). ReelShift is not affiliated with Kai Cenat or Streamer University. See ReelShift for clippers.
